About Us

Old Skool Bus Events is a dynamic event catering business based in Sussex. Not only does the Director, Kate, own two original, vintage American school buses (one food truck and one bar & lounge) which they trade at UK wide festivals, weddings and private events, but they deliver large scale festival crew catering and TV location catering too.
What makes Old Skool Bus Events unique is that the director is a qualified Nutrition & Health Coach as well as having 25 years event management experience. This means the staff welfare policies and wellbeing aspect of developing menus for crew on festival sites is focussed on ensuring they have a wide range of nutritious options in their meals and uses fresh seasonal produce as much as possible. With Kate's extensive event and festival experience in operational management, she really identifies with the needs of festival objectives and the crew!
Old Skool Bus Events was born out of lockdown projects, and the new website launched officially in October 2024. Since Kate developed OSBE in Spring 2024 they have won several awards already.
1. The Healthy Choice Award by Brighton & Hove City Council in March 2024 - which focusses on using quality approved local suppliers and healthy sustainable menu options
2. The UK Quirky Wedding Awards 'Most Unique Catering' category November 2024
3. Finalists in the British Street Food Awards in May 2025 with their 'Tacos with a twist menu'
4. Two trophies in the UK Quirky Wedding Awards 2025 - 'Best Curated Bar Experience' and the 'Most Innovative Caterer'
5. They have just announced they are shortlisted in TWO categories in the Festival Supplier Awards 2025 for 'Best Support Service for crew catering' and 'Best New Product/Service'
